Basic information

With a Hall-effect-sensor the speed, angle and location of moving parts such as motors, generators and wheels can be measured.

General function

With magnetic encoders the speed, angle and position measurement can be performed by means of contact-free scanning of a magnetized part (flywheel, rod, etc.) using a magneto resistive sensor. This generates the angle-dependent analog signals, which are conveyed to the subsequent electronics for further processing.
