For measuring the rotation speed

Further types

Basic information

With a Hall-effect-sensor the speed, angle and location of moving parts such as motors, generators and wheels can be measured.

  • Electric motors / generators
  • Fuel Engines
  • Wheels and other rotating parts
  • Measurement of linear movements

General function

With magnetic encoders the speed, angle and position measurement can be performed by means of contact-free scanning of a magnetized part (flywheel, rod, etc.) using a magneto resistive sensor. This generates the angle-dependent analog signals, which are conveyed to the subsequent electronics for further processing.

  • Fully electronic, non-wearing
  • Miniaturized design
  • No moving parts
  • Largely independent from temperature and pressure in the environment
