Brake rectifier with overdrive, fast power shutdown and immediate restart readiness for operating voltages of 230V AC to 690V AC.Application
The brake rectifiers are used in areas where electrical equipment must be stopped quickly for safety reasons in order to avoid risks to man and machine, e.g.

The brake rectifier generates a rectified voltage from an AC voltage. This drives the breaking coil of an motor disc-brake. During the excitation time the rectifier operates in a bridged mode, after the expiry of that time it switches to a one-way operation. The switching of the brake rectifier to DC prevents a generator effect of the brake coil.
