By discontinuation of KTY 84/83 NXP, the PTC-600 can be a conditional alternative under certain conditions. Due to the technical and mechanical properties not for replace 100%.

  • From about 160°C, the slope of the curve is no longer linear. (Disadvantage compared with KTY84)
  • Measuring range up to 190°C. (Disadvantage compared with KTY84)
  • The tinnes leads make the use of the sensor only up to 105°C. (Disadvantage compared with KTY84)
  • Singelsource. (Disadvantage)
  • Measuring current 2mA. (Corresponds KTY84)
  • The dimensions of the sensor deviates from the KTY sensor from: larger outer diameter, greather length, thicker wire.
  • The temperature sensor is independent of poliarity. (Advantage over KTY84)
