Thermal monitoring module Type: TMS-Basic

The TMS Basic is a modified, further developed and more user friendly version of the TMS-LC. The modifications are not apparent from the exterior and the device is also fully compatible with the previous LC model, i.e. interchangeability is also guaranteed with the new model. The new features relate to the user friendliness of the default settings, which allow each user to configure the temperature sensor of their choice via DIP switches. This also applies to the pre-selection of an automatic or manual reset. All other functions available with the TMS-LC have been retained.

With the discontinuation of the KTY 84 / 83 from NXP, the PTC-600 can be an alternative under certain conditions. However, it is not a fully 100% substitute due to its technical and mechanical properties.

Let’s discuss the tailored solution we can develop together with you.

  • From approx. 160 °C, the incline of the characteristic curve is no longer linear(disadvantage compared to KTY84)
  • Measuring range up to a maximum of 190 °C (disadvantage compared to KTY84)
  • Recommended measuring current 1 mA (corresponds to KTY84)
  • The dimensions of the sensor differ from the KTY sensor: larger outer diameter, longer length, thicker wire
  • The temperature sensor is polarity-independent (advantage compared to KTY84)
